FLUOROSCOPIC GUIDED
PROCEDURES AND IMAGING

Fluoroscopic imaging is an x-ray device used to obtain real-time and static images of many areas of the body. It can often evaluate anatomic structures as well as many body functions. It is used for procedures such as placement of a central line, guiding needle placement for injections or aspirations, and for vertebroplasty. Fluoroscopy can also be used to screen for metal in the body and to evaluate implanted devices and hardware that may affect MRI imaging.

Fluoroscopic imaging is painless. The type of procedure being performed and the body part being examined and/or treated will determine the length of the procedure.
