Many are hesitant to have an MRI because traditional tunnel-type MR machines cause claustrophobia and anxiety. At Utah Valley Imaging, patients will experience a calm and comfortable environment during all examinations. Our magnet—with its open design—provides greater patient comfort during scanning and helps minimize the claustrophobic effect. The design also accommodates larger patients and even allows a parent to accompany a child and hold their hand during the child’s scan.
